May 1908, during which period the sales reached the substantial sum of JE4OOO (which, after allowing for cost of production, agency charges, rail freight, and incidental expenses, show a profit of nearly 30 per cent) and the output, and consequently the profits, could have been greatly increased had sufficient appliances been available to meet the increased demand for the popular " Tui Brand," as orders representing a large amount had to be refused.
