THE EMPLOYMENT OUTLOOK.

NAVVIES. AND FARM LABOURERS NEEDED. Mr M'Keown, of the employment branch of the Government Labour Department, was asked by a Wellington "Post" reporter yesterday regarding the immigrant, callers at his office. He stated that some of the Karamea's passengers had journeyed up to Wellington since their arrival at Dunedin last Friday, and five of them "had called on him this morning. One was a farm labourer, booked for a place in. Auckland, who looked in for advice, and three others were farm hands in search of employment. It was likely that they would be placed in the Wellington district in a few days' time, for there was still a fairly good demand for this class of labour.
