THE MINTARO-WAIRUNA COLLISION.
FINDING OF COURT OF INQUIRY. Received October 22, 11.25 p.m. SYDNEY, October 22. The Court of Inquiry found that the Mintaro-Wairuna collision had been caused through the master of the Mintaro thinking that the Wairuna had anchored. The mistake had been discovered too late to prevent a collision. There was nothing, the Court considered, to justify the certificate of either master being dealt with.
