CHINA AND JAPAN.
AN UNIMPORTANT FRACAS,
Received October 22, 9 a.m. PEKIN, Octoberr 21. The affair at Kan-toa between Chinese and Japanese was an unimportant fracas.
A cable message from Seoul on the 17th October stated:—"lt is feared that a conflict which has occurred at Kan-toa, on the Northern Korean border, between Chinese and Japanese troops, will lead to complications. The hghting, in which the Chinese were, according to Japanese accounts, the aggressors, lasted several hours."
