Sir Henry De Villieres, President of the South African Convention, has asked Lord Selbourne, Governor of the Transvaal, to thank his Majesty King Edward for sending a squadron to South Africa, thus showing that he evinced a gracious sympathy for his people in South [Africa in this important period of their history.
