PAPER PULP.
SATISFACTORY EXPERIMENTS. Received October 19, 9 a.m. LONDON, October 18. "The Times' " Washington correspondent reports that the United States Agricultural Department has made experiments which show that the use of maize straw for the purpose of making paper pulp have proved satisfactory. It is improbable that maize straw pulp will oust wood, but it ::>ay check a further rise in the price of paper.
