GORDON-BENNETT COMPETITION. WON BY A BRITISH BALLOON. BERLIN, October 16. The British balloon Banshee won the Gordon-Bennett race. German and British warships are searching in the North Sea for the missing balloons. A BALLOON RESCUED. Received October .18, 4.30 p.m. BERLIN, October 17. The Plauen, one of the missing German balloons, was rescued in the North Sea. The occupants were in a pitiable condition. It is feared that the Hergesell, the other balloon, has been lost.
