tn the course of his address at Pukekohe on Th.Jrslay night, Mr Massey, in dealing with the speech of the Government candidate for Eden, said all the new candidates had been supplied from Wellington with speeches, and he produced a copy which had been secured by him. This same speech had been delivered by a number of candidates already. The matter was referred to the Prime Minister yesterday. Sir Joseph Ward iremarked with emphasis that he knew nothing about it. He had not supplied any speeches, nor had he been asked to supply any.
