Id regard to the statement that Sir Thomas Lipton would visit New Zealand in his yacht at an early date, it transpires that although he has had it in his mind for a long time past to pay a visit to Australia and New Zealand, nothing definite has been decided. He has been yacht-racing all the summer, and he may go to the East during the coming winter. His interests are chiefly in India and Ceylon, but he has a branch house in Australia, and he may possibly extend his tour. In any case, however, Sir Thomas will travel by ordinary passenger steamer —not in his yacht. .;
