THE GENERAL ELECTIONS.
The question of when the General Elections will be held is still unsettled. It is generally considered that they will take place either during the last week in November or the first week in December. The possibility of second ballots in some of the constituencies will play an important part in the fixing of the date. Fourteen days have to elapse between the polls in eleven scattered constituencies, and if the final trial of polling strength takes place later than the middle of December, there will be danger of holidays interfering to some considerable extent with the elections.
