USE OF PLACARDS. PREPARING FOR EMERGENCIES. Received Octobtr 13, 8.25 a.m. LONDON. October 12. The Women's Freedom League attempted before sunrise to placard the doors of Cabinet Ministers, of the House of Commons, the Government offices, and Nelson's Column, with a proclamation claiming the vote. The police largely frustrated the coup. Five thousand police and two hundred mounted men will guard the precincts of Parliament House on Tuesday to prevent the proposal of the Women'** Social and Political Union to rush the House of Commons:'.
