LONDON BIOGRAPH COMPANY.
+. There was a satisfactory audience at the Town Hall last evening, when the London Biograph Company gave the first performance of a two-nighfc season. The pictures shown were almost all entirely new and very entertaining. The machine threw a clear and bright representation, and worked without a fault. In the first part of the programme animated scenes formed the chief amusement, about the best of which was the Dog Smugglers. Mis 3 Jeannie Johnstone sang, with much success, "Eileen Alannah," and as an encore "The.Carnival." In the second half a unique turn was the coon song by Miss Eva Lee. She was assisted by her two "picanninies," a a pair ot diminutive performers, who captivated the audience completely by their bright and clever acting. They gave a realistic Burns-Squires prize fight, being loudly applauded. The films given were very diverting, particularly the "Nurses Strike." The Company will appear again to-night, and merits a good house.
