There was a good attendance at both the stock sales of Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., to-day. There was a fair to full yarding of both sheep and'-cattle. Medium hoggets in fair condition brought 7s 9d to 9s lid, well-grown good conditioned 10s Id to 12a, empty ewes 8s 3d, full-mouth with lamb at foot 16s. In cattle, mixed yearlings brought 17s 6d, to 255, yearling steers 495, fifteen months 41s, two-years 465, heifers on drop 90s to 100s, in profit, 60s to 90s, springing 80s to 100s, springing cows 100s, cows coming in profit; 40s to 60s, store 15s to 40s, eighteen months Shorthorn bull 425. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: —Thecf was a full, yarding of bullocks o'f fine quality, but lighter than last week and more suitable for the season. Beef made 24s to 24s 6d; best bullocks, £9 17s 6d to £lO 10a; others, £9 to £9 15s. There was a heavy yarding of sheep, including some extra prime ewes. The sheep market was not very keen. Wethers made 17s to 17s 9d to 18s 8d; light, 15s 6d; ewes, 17s Id; others, 15s Id to 16s Id; stags, 13s 9d to 14s 7d.
