RACING.
OTAKI ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances for the first day's handicaps, and entries for the Maiden Plate, to be run at the Otaki-Maori Racing Club's Spring Meeting, on the 14th and 15th instant, will close with the Secretary (Mr Hema R. Te Ao), Otaki, at 8.30 p.m., on Tuesday next.
Received October 2, 10 a.m. SYDNEY, October 2. The gallops to-day were interesting, but nothing sensational was done. Golden Slipper, Soultline, Maranui, and Cross Battery put up serviceable work. The course was heavy owing to the rain. Soultline galloped seven furlongs in Imin 33gsec, and Cross Battery beat Ser. King over a mile by a length or, so in lmin 48Jsec.
