FOUND DEAD IN A WELL.

This afternoon a man named Thomas Pritchard, 69 years of age, was discovered in a doubled-up position at the bottom of a narrow dry well, eight ieet deep, on his pro'perty in Aitken Street. He was in a semi-conscious condition. After "extrication he was conveyed to the ' hospital, where he lies '"in a critical '■ state.
