THE LICENSING BILL.
STATEMENT BY MR LLOYDGEORGE. Received October 1, 8.30 a.m. : LONDON, September SO. A statement made by Mr LloydGeorge, Cnancfcllor of the Echequer, to the effect that if the House of Lords rejected the Licensing Bill the Government would not be at the end of its resources, is interpreted to mean that the Government would largely increase the duty on licenses.
