Any concern working uir'er restricted conditions that can show a profit of thirty per ,cent. for six months operations would be an excellent institution in which to have capital invested. This, however, is what the books of the North Island Brewery Company, Ltd., prove to Have been the case during the period extending from November, 1907, to May, 1903. The demand for the Company's ales and stout has become so great, however, that extension and expansion of the business has been forced upou thdm, and capital for that purpose is required. It is proposed to offer the balance of the Company's shares to the investing public at £1 each, the terms of subscription to be:—2s 6d per share on allotment; and the balance in calls of 2s 6d per share at intervals of not less than three months. With the increased capital it is proposed to acquire the freehold of the present premises, and to add to and improve the brewery premises and plant. Applications for shares should be made to Mr A. W. Sedcole, secretary, or to A. J. Hathaway, broker, Masterton. An advertisement on page 1 gives .particulars.
