ENGLISH RAILWAYS.
DOING AWAY WITH EXCESSIVE COMPLETITION. , Received September 24, 8.5 a.m. LONDON, September 23. The London and North-Western, Midland, and Great Northern Railway Companies have, as one of the means of doing away with excessive competition, agreed to cease running competitive night trains to Scotland, and to introduce other drastic economies.
