THE INQUEST. JURY'S PROTEST. POLICE NEVER MORE BAFFLED. Received September 24, 9.35 p.m. LONDON, September 24. At the inquest on Mrs Luard, a verdict of murder against some person or persona unknown was returned. The jury protested against the anonymous letters sent to influence their verdict. The Coroner admitted that he had never known the police more baffled.
