MARKED EXPRESSION OF OPINION.

Mr Barclay, a Labour member, said the labour unions-wanted the boards retained with different procedure, and he spoke further in the same direction. Anyhow' he wanted a vote on the matter. When, however, he came to a vote he could not secure a fellowteller, which was an emphatic indication of the predeliction of the members for conciliation commissioners and assessors. Such an expression of opinion is rarely so marked in the House.
