HOCKEY.
The following is the Glengarry team to play the Eketahuna ladies today at 3.30-.—Misses Miller (2), Evans (2), M. Collins, H. O'Leary, O. Richards, G. Dairymple, E. Peters, *W. Logan and G. Gordon. MA3TERTON TROTTING CLUB. — ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the members of the Masterton Trotting Club was held last evening in the Secretary's office. There were present: —Messrs A. Suodgrass (in the chair), G. H. Yates, W. H. Whittaker, W. Fly, J. Cress, F. Dorset, J. O'Meara, G. Morris, W. Piatt, R. Hodgins, and J. Biddle. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs J. Dixon and W. D. Watson. The balance sheet was read and | adopted. Six new members were elected.' The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: — Patron, Mr W. D Watson; President, Mr J. O'Meara; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs J. Cress, W. Piatt, W. Fly, and W. Whittaker; Timekeeper. Mr J. Cress; Judge, Mr C. H. Smith; Handicapper, Mr J. H. Pollock; Clerk of the Course, Mr C. J. Bennett; Clerk of Scales, Mr A. Snodgrass; Starter, Mr A. Commetti; Stewards, Messrs F. Buiclc, W. Cooper, W. Craffg, F. Dorset, R. J. Hodgins, W. lorns, T. W. Miller, H. O'Donnell, C. A. Pownall, T. J. Porter, A. Snodgrass, H. Welch, G. A. Yates, J. Biddle, W. Denby, G. Morris, C. A. Ball, Taiwhaio Te Tau, A. Edwards; Auditor, Mr G. W. Sellar. It was decided to recommend the Programme Committee to* allocate £220 in stakes for the forthcoming, meeting. The following Were appointed a Programme Committee: —Messrs W. Cooper, J. Cress, W. Cragg, J. Dixon, A. Snodgrass, W. H. Whittaker. It was decided to hold the next trotting meeting on January 7th, 1909. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair.
