Mr J. C. Boddington, reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Pain for the 24 hours up till a.m. on Wednesday was 25 points. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 23. The following is Captain Edwin's weather forecast to 3 p.m. to-mor-row:—The barometer is rising everywhere. Strong southerly winds are general, but probably strong to gale with rain on East Coast between Kaikoura and East Cape.
