CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THE COLONIES. Received September 23, 9.40 p.m. LONDON, September 23. Sir John Colomb, in a letter to "The Times," strongly approves of the suggestion of Mr VV. E. Abbott, of Sydney, that the threat colonies ought to contribute liberally to the British Navy.
