(From Our Own Correspondent). TINUI, September 21. On the 19th inst. Mataikana easily deft ated Carswells in a cricket irntch. Dr Dawson has purchased a large area of land at Nairobai, British East Africa, and intends to stock the property with ostriches. It will be remembered that Dr Dawson served in Africa as surgeon during the late Boer War, and had always been snxious to return. There was a large congregation at the Anglican Church yesterduy to witness the dedication service in connection with the erection of a handsome puplit to the memory of the late Rev. J. C. Andrew, and also a brass tablet to the memorj of the late Mr John Groves. The Rev. J. 11. Sykes, in an appropriate sermon, made feeling references to the two deceased.
