DOMINION DAY CELEBRATIONS.

By Telegraph—Press Association, ] WELLINGTON, September 22. The arrangements for the celebration of Dominion Day on Saturday next have been completed. If the weather will not allow the i school children to assemble on the Basin Reserve at 11 a.m. to receive tb« Dominion medals, the gathering will take place on the following Monday afternoon. A parade of 850 school cadets was held yesterday, when various preparations for the parade on Dominion Day were made. It is expected that fully 1,400 cadets will be present on tuat jccasion. The afternoon proceedings at Newtown Park will consist of military manoeuvres, only no speeches will be made. The Governor and the Prime Minister will speak only at the Basin Reserve desmonstration in the mornine, ana at a celebration in the Town Hall in the ovenihg. v
