At the meeting of the Carterton .Cricket Club it was stated. that the -Club's pitch would be second to none in the Wairarapa this season. 'vlt is expected that five senior will compete for the Wairarapa Saturday cricket championship this year. At the annual meeting of members of the Carterton Cricket Club, held .at Carterton on Friday evening, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr W. C. Buchanan (re-elected); president, Mr W. Mojre (re-elected); vice-presi-dents, Messrs G. W. Deller, 'Y.Howard Both, W. B. Allen, L. Nix, Dr. Johnston, Alex. Gallon, W. Henry Booth, H. R. Bunny, R. G. . Welch, J. A. Dudson, and A. H. Krahage-t; secretary and treasurer, .Mr L. H. .Smart (re-electe.l); captain, Mr L. H. Smart (re-electedj; .delegates at Wairarapa Cricket Association, Messrs Smart and ri. Hart; management committee, Kev. W. J. Elliott, Messrs Dyson, Hart, Kissell, J. M. Beechey, and the secretary; match committee, Massrs Smart, Hart, and Carroll. The an- : nual subscription fixed at 12a 6d for senior players, and 7s 5d for players under eighteen years of age. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, September 26th.
