GOULBURN TO SYDNEY ROAD RACE. Received September 20, 4.30 p.m. SYDNEY, September 20. The Goulburn to Sydney Road Race took place yesterday. Ransley, a onearmed cyclist, led the whole of the way to within eight miles from home. He would undoubtedly have won had not he taken ill ten miles from the winning post. Robinson and Larcombe put Up a fine finish, the former winning by three lengths in G hours 47 minutes. Ransley was third. Larcombe put up the fastest time, establishing a record—viz., 6 hours 35 minutes 56 seconds. New Zealand riders did not shaw up prominently.
