COTTON TRADE CRISIS. MILLS CLOSED. 150,000 PERSONS IDLE. Received September 20, 4.30 p.m. LONDON, September 19. The operative spinners at Manchester have accepted the masters' terms, but the cardworkers' refusal has paralysed the other departments. Consequently the mills will close to-Jay, throwing 150,000 persons out of work. A fortnight's suspension is expected. It is hoped that the cardworkers will in the meanwhile ballot oil the subject.' / The masters sugest a five per cent, reduction in wages from January next.
