LITHGOW IRONWORKS.
Received September 18, 1C a.m. SYDNEY, September 18. An actuary's report on the financial position of the Lithgow ironworks shows that Messrs Hoskins, the pro-prietors,-lost £8,200 on six months' operations. He expresses th« opinion that the industry is not capable of paying an increase in the men's wages, the position rather calling for a decrease in wages.
