Received Septe Tiber 19, 12.35 a.rfl. LONDON, September 18. It is understood that Messrs Wilier and Riley's losses thi-ough the defalcations of M. Aiberti amount to ttbout £55,000. Their' shaivs have fallen from 19s 6d to 10s.

A cablegram yesterday morning stated that Messrs Wilier and Riley, provision importers, London, had announced that they had suffered losses in connection with the defalcations of M. Alberti, the Da ish exMinister recently arrested for, amongst other things, fraud op the Zealand Peasants' Bank. The firm stated that there would be no interruption of their business.
