SETTLING OVERSEA , DOMINIONS. COOPERATION WANTED.Received September 18, 10.35 p.m. LONDON, September 18. The Hon. J. W. Taverner, AgentGeneral for Victoria, speaking at Glasgow, said that it was little use talking of Imperialism the Imperial Government would cooperate in settling the Home land's surplus population in the sparsely settled oversea Dominions. He advised the Imperial authorities to treat the colonies with more confidence as an integral part of the Empire, thereby strengthening and consolidating it.
