During a terrific storm at Milltborpe (New South Walep), which unrofed two houses and partially unroofed several others, a lad named Higgins, son ot Mr T. Higgins, J.P., had an exciting experience. The lad was in bed, when a sheet of galvanised iron that was blown from an outhouse about eighty yards distant struck the wall of the room he was sleeping in. The sheet of iron came with such force that it cut its way through the galvanised iron wall, a three-inch by one-inch pine batten, and the half-inch lining boards, and against the head of th's bed. About j one foot of the sheet of iron was protruding inside of the room when Mr Higsine, senr., went to investigate. After the btorm the people were busy collecting the iroi, etc., that was blown from the roofs. Some of it was found three hundred yards dis- ' tant. ' win?
