FIRST PRIZE LINCOLN WOOL AT THE ENGLISH ROYAL SHOW.
New Zealand and Australian sheepbreeders will be interested to learn that Mr Henry Dudding, of Riby Grove, England, secured first prize for Lincoln wool at the above show, held at Newcastle-on-Tyne, from June 3d to July 4 of this year. Mr Dudding's exhibit was simply superb; its beautiful soft handling qualities and bright lustrous appearance made it by far the best and most attractive wool exhibit of any class on show. As a good deal has been written recently re the dip used by Mr Dudding, the following letter just received by Messrs Quibell Brothers (Limitedl, of Newark, from that gentleman serves to throw light on the subject—i.e.:— Riby Grove, Grimsby, July llth, 1908 Dear Sirs,—ln reply to your inquiry v. ith regard to tho efficiency and length of time I have used your dip, J have much pleasure in stating that it has b?en used extensively on my flocks for over a quarter of a century, and always with the most satisfactory results. With regard to my wool, which obtained the first prize at the Royal Show last week, I beg to state that ; it was Quibell dipped. Yours faithfully, (Signed) HENRY DUDDING. A facsimile of the above letter from Mr Dudding can be seen at any of Messrs Dalgety and Co.'s offices throughout Australasia.
