CONSPIRATORS SENTENCED. Received September 16,11.17 a.m. CALCUTTA, September 15. Six men, arrested on the evidence of the late Gossais, who turned approvtr, and was shot while in prison, were committed for trial on a charge of being implicated in the bomb conspiracy. The seditionary leader Serma w?s sentenced to five years' transportation for sedition at Coimbatora (Madras) and two others—Abbas and Ham Chandra—to a year each with hard labour, for conducting a school for the manufacture of bombs. Tilak has sailed for Rangoon to begin his sentence. On May 2nd last a bomb factory was discovered in Calcutta, and a great sensation was caused by the arrest and confession of Gossain, who implicated Artbirdo Ghose, a well-known barrister and others. Gossain was recently murdered while in the Calcutta prison hospital. The jury found Tilak, a Nationalist leader, guilty of sedition, and he was sentenced to six years' transportation and fined one thousand rupees. BOMB THROWN AT A TRAIN. NO ONE INJURED. RecaivedjSeptember 16, 11.59 p.m. CALCUTTA, September 16. A bomb was thrown at a passenger i train on the Eastern Bengal line. Nobody was injured. ;
