Price) has tabled in the Houoe a memorandum the Goverment purposes forwarding to th'e Secretary of State fjr the Colonies (Earl Crewe) covering the propuaed policy regarding State (ioVei-.orf. The memorandum points out—"There is no pubiiion of honour and trust in the State which should be re- s guarded as beyond the reach of our * most distinguished citizens, and we request that before the appointment of a new Governor is made, consideration should be given to these views."
