MASTERTON CLUB. MEN'S SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. The following is the result of the second round of the Men's Senior Championship:— J. Steel beat W. P. ; James 6 up, 5 to play. H. Booth beat A. Bewley 6 up, 5 to play. A. Booth beat A. R. Sclanders 4 up, 2 to play. W. H. Robieson was unable to play Cox on account of illness, and the match will be played during the week. The following meet in the third round:— J. Steel plays the winner of Cox and Robiepon. H. Booth plays A. Booth. MEN'S JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
The first round of the Men's Junior Championship resulted as follows: ■ E. B. Waddington beat C. Perry, 3 up, 1 to ploy. J. Hirschberg beat A. H. Rothenberg 1 up. T. Winter beat H. P. WynnWilliams 2 up. J. Gray beat G. W. Alridge 5 up, 4 to play. N. 11. James beat R. J. Bird 1 up. A. C. Paul beat C. G. Monro 5 up, 3 to play, P. Gordoii beat G. Clarkaon 3 up, 1 to play. The following is tha drawing for the second round, which must be played on or before Saturday next:— E. B. Waddington and J. Hirschberg. F. Winter and J. Gray. N. H. James and A. C. Paul. P. Gordon and B. Booth.
