FRUIT FLY REGULATIONS.
A STATEMENT CONTRADICTED. L3y Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 14. The Minister of Agriculture, contradicted the statement contained in a Press Association telegram from Auckland that he had reconsidered ■* his refusal to suspend the fruit fly regulations to permit the Hauroto's caieo to be landed, and that the mile certificates will not be required. In an interview with a "New Zealand Times" reporter, Mr McNab said that he had never issued instructions.that the shipment was to be inspected, or that the mile certificate would not be required.. He has declined to interfere in connection with the administration of the rules by the officers of the Department.
