' Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report as follows regarding Friday's sale : We offered 20 bales wool, 2,600 skins, 835 hides, and a quantity of tallow and horse hair. Wool—The market remains steady at last sale ratea. We quote: Medium crossbred, 4d to 5Jd; inferior, 2d to 4d; lambs wool, 4dtosd; pieces and locks, Id to 2d; good crutchings, 3Jd to 3sd; medium, 22dto3Jd; seedy and inferior, Id to 2id. Skins—There was good competition. Fine skins advanced one half-penny and crossbred one farthing. Green skins advanced threepence. We quote: Fine crossbreds, 5d to 6Jd; crossbred, 4d to sd; dead skins, 2d to 3&d; dead hoggecs.2dto3Jd; dry pelts,, Id to 3d; Jamb skins, 3dto4£d; green skins, 2s 6d to 4s 7d. Tallow—Firm. Par«el4 in shipping order £23; tins, £lB to £2l JOs; rough fat, £lO tu £l3. Horsehair —Is to Is 3d per lb. Horns, 5s to 17s 6d per hundred. Cowtails, Is 4d to Is 8d per dozen. Hid 33 We Drought forward a large catalogue .of hides in good condition, which met —Vita excellent competition at full pricjs. The New Zealanfl Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as under:-—There was a good attendance of buyers at our sale, and we &re pleased to report an improvement in prices. We estimate —Wool appreciated par to £d per lb, and 1 sheepskins about £d per lb. Hides ; ritiain firm, but calfskins, sound , arfi in good condition were &d per lb I ' higher than last sale.
