The friends of Mrs G. P. Donnelly, | of Napier, will regret to hear of her ; serious illness. The death is reported from Poxton of Mrs Whebley, niece of Mr J. A. Dudsnn, of Carterton, at the age of 25' years. The funeral of the late Mrs G. Greathead took place yesterday afternoon at the Clareville Cemetery. The Rev. Father Bowe conducted the services at the graveside. Mr J. S. Webb, of the staff of the Pahiatua District High School, has been appointed head teacher of the | Tokomaru School, Horowhenua County, under the Wellington Educa- , tion Board. Mr Isaac Hyamy, of Wellington, who has been in the service of the ; Post and Telegraph Department fir thirty-three years, has retired on superannuation on account of illhealth. At the Poit Hotel, Pahiatua, ort Friday evening, Mr T. Million, of Pahiatua. was the recioientof sever.il premutations from his friends to mark the occasion of hU approaching marriage. The prese itations were made by Mr and i Mrs Watts, on behalf of Mr Millison's friends. At the Methodis 1 : Church Hall, Mornington (Dunedin), on Thursday evening last, thp Rev. D. J. and Mrs Murray were entertained at a social by the congregation of the Mornington Methodist Church in celebration of their silver wedding. Mr and Mrs Murray were presented with a silver tea-set (suitably inscribed) ny the congregation. Miss Kerridge, eldest daughter of IMr Frank Kerridge, of MangaramI arama, was married at the Roman Catholic Church, Pahiatua, on Wednesday last, to Mr M. McKinley, third son of Mr James McKinlev, of Tararua, the Rev. Father McKenna officiating. The bride looked charming in a blue costume, with white feit hat, and her sistei - , who was also hanJsomely attired, was bridesmaid. Mr J. Pryde was best man. The wedding breakfast took place at the residence of Mr J. Donaldson. The health of the bride and bridegroom ! was enthusiastically honoured, and hearty gorl wishes were expressed for their future welfare. One daughter (Mrs Miller) resides at Marton, the other daughters being the Misses Sarah, l.ena, Olive and Ivy lorns, and the son, Mr W. lorns, all the latter residing at Masterton.
