The following important recommend•tion by the Finance Committee was adopted by the General Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association on Saturday afternoon: —"That an arrangement be come to with the secretary (Mr G. R. Sykes) to devote the whole of his time to the Association, at a salary of £250 per annum, terminable by three months' notice on either side. Details of the duties tj be arranged by the Chairman; any existing appointments which in the opinion of the Committee do not clash wiLh the Association's interests beretained by the secretary." This matter was brought before the annual meeting of members, who adopted, without discussion, a recommendation of the outgoing General Com- ] mittee that the secretary be engaged to devote his aole time to the Association's duties.
