BY TELKGKAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, September 9. The Horowhenua races were held to-day in fine weather. The attendance was good. Results:— Flying Hack Handicap—Waoriki 1, Letherin 2, Ney 3. Scratched— Whetumarama and Royal Maid. Won easily by a length. Park Stakes-Rangipapa 1, Waihuku 2, Flotilla 3. Scratched—Tuatahi Won comfortably by a length. Maiden' Handicap—Hereward 1, Subdue 2, Durability 3. Scratched Waipunu, St. Flora and Adventure. Won by half a lerigth. Cup—All Red 1, Silken Rein 2, Llanwern 3. All started. Won by half a length, the same distance between second and third. Time, lmin 59?ec. Welter Hack Handicap— Sandstream 1, Yosami 2, Skye 3. All started. Won by a length and a-half. Hack Hurdles—Hatley 1, Wetherly 2, Jolly Friar 3. Scratched—Royal Blue, Bungalow, AucyAe, Forest and Oakburne. Won easily by two lengths Electric Haok Handicap—Naumai 1, Lothair 2, Tumut 3. Also started —Faux Pas, and Pytchley. Won easily. The amount put through the totalisator for the day was £3,998.
