Writes the Hustings correspondent of the Napier "Telegraph": It will be remembered that some time ago Mr Clement Wragge predicted a serious drought in the summer of 1908, and at the present time it seems that the weather prophet will not be very far wrong in his reckoning. Advices from the country stations show that rain is anxiously awaited and a general dry season is anticipated. The winter throughout has been exceptionally fine, and as evidence of this it may be stated that the artesian wells in the district have increased very little in their Volume of supply.
