THE NEW GOVERNOR-GENERAL,
Received .September 9, 9.12 p.m. SYDNEY, September 9. Lord Dudley officially landed at noon, and was sworn in in the pavilion in the Domain used in connection with the American Fleet festivities. Lord Dudley was warmly welcomed by a gathering of 15,000 people. Crowds lined the streets'from th2 pavilion to Government House.
TWO BROTHERS SUFFOCATED. Received September 10, 1 a.m. ADELAIDE, September 9. Two brothers named Loughlin were suffocated through gaseous fumes at Caltowie. Their mother placed an open pan containing burning coals in a bedroom to warm them all. The outlets were blccked, and as a result suffocation followed.
