FURTHER DESERTIONS. SAILORS MISSING. THE RECENT COLLISION. Received September 7, 9.58 a.m. MELBOURNE, September 7. Eighty-five sailors were missing when the fteet sailed. The battleship Kansas remains behind pending an enquiry into the collision between the United States collier Ajax and the pleasure steamer Leura.
