CLEARING SALE REPORT
The New Zealand Low and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report at ' their clearing sale on account of Mr Thos. Walker, ac Greytown, on Saturday last. We had a good represent- ; ative attendance, and the fact of the farm being a good one, and stock having a splendid reputation, and the whole catalogue unreserved, we were able to secure a highly satisfactory result to the vendor. The of the freehold of 182 acres for a term of five years found a tenant under the hammer at 223 6d r er acre p«n- annum. Of a herd of 55 cows and hsifers, 40 cows made an average of over £6, 15 heifers over - £4, young htifers 3fis, yearlings 30s, bulls 60s, old and young draught hoists £5 to £4O, hoggets lis, sow *pigs 52s to 60s, porkers 20s, slips 13s to' 17a. Machinery, implements, vehicles, poultry, timber, tcols and furniture, all changed hands.
