A RECKLESS THIEF.
STEALS A DETECTIVE'S LUGGAGE. WELLINGTON. September 6. At the Magistrate's Court, yesterday, John William Bishop, alias Brown, who was employed as a fireman and greaser on the steamer Rotoiti, pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing from the Royal Hotel, Wellington a Gladstone bag and contents valued at £25, the property of Chief Detective Mcllveney. Accused was remanded to the Supreme Court fur sentence.
