DEVOTION TO DRESS.
"There is too much gaudiness and striving after effect among young girls nowadays," said Mr Kettle at the Auckland Magistrate's Court the other day. "I believe it would be a very good thing for girls if it were made compulsory 'that they should wear simple dress—no matter to what cl -sa they belong. There is too much devotion to dress altogether "
