Mr George Winder, who recently announced himself as a candidate for Wellington East, has resigned the presidency of the Wellington branch of the Liberal and Labour Federaton. NAPIER,' September 4. Mr A. E. .lull addressed a meeting of Hawke's Bay electors at Hastings to-night, and declared himself a Government supporter. The candidate was accorded a vote of thanks for his address.
