PRISON-MADE GOODS.
Action is likely to be taken by the
New South Wales Minister tor Customs, tn the lines of the proclamation issued by the Government of New Zealand, absolutely prohibiting the importation of all goods manufactured in prisons, whether exported directly or indirectly. Mr Chapman has found that goodd of this clas3 are still being exported to Australia. The New Zealand proclamation, which is extremely stringent, placeo a bar on prison-made or prison-pro-duced good«, or goods similar in character, whether sold by any individual, or firm, or company.
