Thare ha." been a good deal of talk in the House of Representatives lately about the small birds nuisance. Christchurch members in particular have been airing their views on the subject, and the other night in the House Mr Hardy said the birds were doing great harm; they were not, he said, in flocks, but they were in clouds, and they darkened the air. 4 Mr McNab said a Bill dealing with the subject had been drafted, but as this was to be a short session, there would be no opportunity of passing the Bill into law.
